"And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favour with all the people, and the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." [Acts 2:46-47]

Community Groups are intimate communities of people who encourage each other to become more like Jesus.

One of the most important aspects of Jesus' ministry was the time He spent with the people He loved. He ate meals with them, prayed with them, spoke the truth to them, and met their practical and spiritual needs. As the modern day hands and feet of Jesus, we are called to love each other in the same way. One of the ways this happens at Grace Church Leith is in our Community Groups.

Community Groups are designed to be welcoming whether you've been following Jesus for most of your life or you've never heard of Him before. Our Community Group leaders will welcome you into their home every week to share food with you, study the Bible with you and pray for you. We hope that the more involved people become in their Community Groups, the more they will want to make sure others' needs are met as well, and over time, the Community Group will develop into a tight-knit community of people who really look out for each other and for the people of our city.

As you grow closer to the people in your Community Group, you will find a place where you are welcomed, wanted, cared for, and challenged to become more like Jesus. Our Community Groups are groups of community not just on Sundays, not just at a weekly meeting, but throughout daily life, which is how we are called to live and love together.
